Calgary Food Bank joins HomeSpace as Neoma’s newest tenant
Calgary, AB — The best way forward is together.
On December 15th, 2025 the Calgary Food Bank officially opened the doors to its second location in Neoma. Through our ground-floor commercial space, they can provide a grocery shopping style experience to an average of 200 families experiencing food insecurity each week. Bringing the Food Bank directly into Neoma places an essential resource right at the doorstep of the people who need it most. It removes barriers like transportation, time, and cost, and it strengthens the fabric of a downtown— making it more livable and connected.
From the very beginning, this building was designed with community at its core. At HomeSpace we know that housing is essential, but for many, it’s the connection to supports and resources that makes the difference between stability and homelessness.
The commercial space sat vacant for a little while because it was so important for us to find a tenant who would strengthen the impact of the work already happening here. We were intentional about waiting for the right fit, and we couldn’t be happier with the positive impact Food Bank will have on the downtown community.
This partnership reflects what’s possible when organizations come together with a shared purpose. HomeSpace, Inn from the Cold, Closer to Home, and the Calgary Food Bank each bring unique strengths— but our goal is the same: to respond to the needs of Calgarians and support their path to stability.
