Walk for Housing

Put a Spring in Your Step & and Help Open Doors!

Join us for “A Spring Walk for Housing” on May 3rd 2026 to raise critical funds to create and maintain safe, affordable homes for families who need them most.

As the snow melts and the days grow longer, many Calgarians are still facing the harsh realities of rising rents, unaffordable groceries, and difficult choices no family should have to make. The housing crisis isn’t slowing down—and neither are we.

This years walk is in support of Orion, which houses 51 youth in the Beltline.

By taking a step forward, you’re opening doors for others. Your support helps ensure that more families in Calgary can walk through the door to safety, stability, and a brighter future.

HomeSpace provides almost 1000 units of affordable housing across Calgary and supports over 1,300 people—families, seniors, and individuals—by partnering with agencies who offer the help they need to stay housed and thrive.

With your support, we can keep more of our neighbours housed in dignified and secure homes.

How can you get involved?

  1. Register your team and fundraise.

  2. Donate to an existing team.

“Here with community supports and community from my neighbours…I feel supported, loved and safe…”

– HomeSpace Resident

Until August 31st, 2026, every donation made to HomeSpace will be matched up to 50% through Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink. This means each dollar you give grows by up to 50%, helping even more individuals and families find stability and support.

100% of your donations go to purchasing, renovating and securing accessible affordable housing units for families, seniors and individuals living in extreme housing need. These homes provide families with a safe and warm environment to thrive and step into a new stage of life, away from homelessness.
