The building was purchased in April 2010 with $2,988,833 from the Government of Alberta, $97,500 from David Bissett and a mortgage of $1.17 million. CUPS provides resident referrals, income testing, supports and community building. KAIROS Calgary also helps with building projects, resident support and is actively fundraising to help pay down the mortgage.
