Homespace offers a unique opportunity to work with young adults and children who are themselves being given a unique opportunity to grow and succeed.

Homespace provides an environment in which staff and volunteers work together to assist, educate and train young adults that just need a little love and personal attention to realize their potential and become self sufficient, self actualized adults and parents.

There is a wide range of opportunities for volunteers to contribute to the advancement of a young parent and their child or children:

	Board Members We are seeking Board Members with experience in government relations, foster parenting, welfare reform, social services, fundraising, marketing and public relations.
	Special Events Special Event volunteers have the opportunity to help set up and run various activities. These include Hearts for Homespace and other fundraisers, as well as resident activities including the Homespace graduation ceremonies.
	Nursery Supervision Volunteers are needed to watch the Homespace children while parents are participating in classes and other necessary training. Activities with the children include reading, playing games, and coloring.
	Translation Services Anyone who can speak a second language is of the utmost importance in communicating with our ethnically diverse children and parents.
	Marketing, Public Relations, and Advertising These volunteers help keep Homespace in the public eye by writing news releases, responding to outside inquiries, and designing posters for various events. Some experience is preferred, but we will train the right volunteer with a sharp mind and willing heart.
	Medical Outreach Nurses, Doctors, and other trained medical personnel are needed to perform basic physical examinations, and to teach basic skills to the residents on a variety of topics such as hygiene and nutrition.
	General Administration We need volunteers to help file paperwork, respond to phone calls, stuff mailers and more. Office work is high-paced and exciting because the type of work is always changing.
