Buffalo, NY - October
6, 2005 - Homespace Corporation announced that Fowler's
Chocolates will be offering guided tours through its factory, located
at 100 River Rock Drive in Buffalo, on Saturday, October 8 and
Monday, October 10. All proceeds
from ticket sales and donations will benefit Homespace Corporation.
Just like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, area chocolate lovers
will be able to see first-hand how many of the unique and fun chocolates
that the Buffalo-owned company has developed, like truffaloes and
chocolate pizza and wings, are made. Delectable samples
of Fowler’s specialty chocolates and other treats will also
be available to try along the way.
Unlike Charlie, area residents do not need a "golden ticket" to
tour Fowler's factory. The cost of a ticket is $1.00
and may be purchased at all seven Fowler's locations. The tours
will be conducted at 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 2:00
pm on both Saturday and Monday.
"Fowler's Chocolates has been a very generous supporter
of Homespace and its mission to help provide affordable housing and
services for young, homeless families for many years," said
Thelma Roberts, executive director of Homespace. "We
are very pleased that they decided to help us once again by organizing
this wonderful family event and fundraiser."
This will be the
third year that Fowler's
Chocolates has opened its doors for such a tour to benefit a non-profit
organization.
