arrow Do you have to be of a certain age to become a Second Chance Home resident?
 

Answer: Yes, parents must be between the ages of 14 - 17 years old, and their children must be 6 years old or younger.

arrow Must I be a single parent to become a Second Chance Home resident?
 

Answer: Yes, you must be both single and a parent.

arrow I'm concerned about my safety and that of my children. Can Second Chance Home keep us safe?

arrow How long can I live at Second Chance Home?
 

Answer: Families may reside at the Second Chance Home for up to 15 months in most circumstances.

arrow What do I do with my children while I'm in school, and receiving life skills and/or vocational training?
 

Answer: Second Chance Home provides child activity care while parents participate in life skills and workshops. While you are in education, job training or other programming through an education program, Department of Social Services or your employment, you must provide your own day care. Second Chance Home will help you to apply for day care assistance through the local Department of Social Services and guide you in choosing a day care facility that is appropriate for you and your children’s needs.

arrow Will Second Chance Home help me find a job?
 

Answer: Yes, that is one of the many services we provide. While we can't guarantee you a job, we will give you access to public and private job search facilities and services.

arrow When I move into Second Chance Home, can I have visitors?
 

Answer: Yes, however no overnight visitors are allowed.
