Homespace
Corporation's main facility, Homespace, is located in the City of
Buffalo, New York, and was opened in 1989. It has capacity to provide
transitional housing
to
twelve
single
parent
families, and includes offices for administrative and support
staff, laundry facilities, and a full child activity center.
Residents are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and
appearance of their units, preparing their
meals, and doing their laundry.
In addition to transitional housing, parents are afforded access
to education and vocational training. The objective of Homespace
is to equip each single parent with the life skills they need to
become independent and productive members of the community, and effective
parents.
Second Chance Home
Second
Chance Home for teen-aged mothers began construction in December,
2004 and opened in September 2005.
The facility has the capacity to house up to eight teenage
mothers and their children, and includes support
staff offices, laundry facilities and a child activity center. As Homespace's
main facility, Second Chance Home affords parents access to the education
and vocational training they will need to become independent and
productive members of the community, and effective parents. |
